No one knows you better than you. Yet, sometimes the noise of the world can interfere with our ability to maintain relationships, problem solve, execute plans, and confidently lead the lives we desire, even if we’ve been able to do so before. My goal for every therapeutic relationship is to be a source of calm where the noise quiets and a space is created to sit with and talk through your thoughts, feelings, experiences, and knowledge. Through this client-centered approach, I want you to find a life you are proud of and can live freely in. This can be accomplished through our work to define your life goals, to let go of something that no longer serves you, and/or to explore your own identity to feel loved and grounded in who you are.
For the past decade, I have worked in the school setting, primarily as a high school counselor. I have a Master of Arts degree in Educational Psychology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Child Psychology from the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities. My work has centered around relationship concerns, family systems, anxiety, post-secondary education & careers, identity exploration, and self-esteem. I have a specific interest working with young adults, adults in life transitions, and individuals in rural communities.
